Why A Club?

Although our expeditions are open to everyone, we encourage expedition participants to become Expedition Club members.

By being part of a Club we seek to create a culture of wilderness exploration and connection. We aspire to lead people to discover, explore and connect with nature. By being part of the Club, you join our culture of connecting to wilderness.

By being a Club we offer members training and development of their expedition skills.

By being a Club we support and promote environmentally responsible expeditions. We follow the “Leave no Trace” principles.

Expedition Club members receive a discount on all Club activities.

By being a Club, members have access to expedition equipment, available to hire to members. This may enable them to borrow equipment they cannot easily afford, or to try out equipment before buying.

Membership discounts are advertised for each trip. Normally members receive a 33% discount on the cost of guiding.

Members receive periodic e-mailed newsletters with information about upcoming trips.

Membership of the Expedition Club is annual, charged at the start of the year, or on joining. Membership for 2022 is set at £79/year for an individual, or £149/year for a couple.

Children under 16 are also welcome to join the Club for an additional £50/child/yr. Children are welcome on trips as long as they are sufficiently mature and resilient to cope with the nature of the planned expedition.
